Perpetual Retains Publicist Smash Street Media


CALGARY, AB and NEW YORK, NY, October 8, 2014 — Perpetual Industries Inc.(OTC:PRPI), a developer of new and innovative energy efficient products, today announced it has retained New York-based Smash Street Media, LLC, headed byMary Chung, as its public relations agency of record. Mary, former chief of communications and marketing for the American Stock Exchange (AMEX), has also been appointed to serve on Perpetual’s Board of Advisors.

Mary is the Founder and Managing Partner of Smash Street Media, a PR firm that specializes in creating strategic communications campaigns to promote and raise the visibility of emerging growth companies. She has nearly two decades of experience in communications, media and marketing. She has successfully placed media stories in every mainstream press including obtaining the cover story of Forbes Magazine, interviews on CNBC, Fox Business, Bloomberg TV, and news stories, profiles and Op-Eds in The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, New York Times, Dow Jones, Thomson Reuters and Fortune Magazine.

Prior to Smash Street Media, Mary headed the corporate communications and marketing divisions of several companies including the AMEX, where she oversaw all internal and external communications, media relations and marketing efforts. She was responsible for creating media and marketing campaigns and supporting over 600 companies listed on the exchange. Mary also headed communications and marketing for ELX Futures, an electronic futures exchange backed by a consortium of investment banks including Goldman Sachs, Bank of America and JP Morgan. She also oversaw communications and marketing for a technology provider of high-performance trading software for global banks and hedge funds.

Mary started her career as a journalist working for some of the biggest media companies in the world, including the Financial Times, CBS News and Reuters. Mary has appeared on several television and radio news programs, including ABC News, CNN, BBC and Nightly Business Report. Her stories have been published in the Financial Times, Chicago Tribune, Ottawa Citizen, Toronto Sun, Social Life Magazine, Heaps Magazine and The Glass Hammer. She received a bachelor's degree, double majoring in Journalism and Political Science from Carleton University in Ottawa and a master's degree in Journalism from Columbia University in New York. Mary has traveled the world extensively, lived in four countries, and is proficient in three languages.
